I'm not sure about the bank payment as I've always used my credit card for payment.
I've been with Start since July for cable and I've had zero issues since I signed up, I've had a few questions that I had to call tech support for and the wait time was at most 1 minute each time I called. The staff were friendly, courteous and knowledgeable, they were able to answer my question immediately.
My connection has been rock solid since I signed up for it and there have been no slowdowns. I have the Standard Cable Internet plan, 18Mbps download and 512Kbps upload.

You can see my review of Start here »/comment/86431, I included some speed test in the review as well.
I can't believe it (I'm password1234 bytheway)
I've just ordered Start Cable Internet 28Mbps few minutes ago.
My families were strongly opposed to using non-major ISP (Rogers, Bell, etc) but somehow I convinced them to try it for first time (my first time using non-major ISP too)
I hope things go fluently without any problems!
Well, I was quite worried because not many people have posted reviews about Start cable internet (mostly dsl)
and the place where you type your card info looked a bit insecure in my opinion. and it could have been better if there was someway to pay through online banking like the one Teksavvy offers (I think? correct me if I'm wrong)
But I've read redflagdeal & number of forum reviews about their success story so I decided to go for Start
Oh by the way, does anyone know how long it takes to receive modem?
Once your order gets approved and you get your installation date, modem will be shipped via express which in major cities will receive it next day! Then you just wait for the installation day!
I have not personally tried but some of the users use online banking and START Communication is on there so you should be able to make payments.
Start needs to work on their website to make it look more professional!
If you come across any problem, Post here or IM Start_Laurie or Rocca who are great individual who helps on the DSLR!

The modem is coming from London, so probably only 2 days after it gets shipped out, if they use Canada Post, probably less if they use a courier.
Here is the forum link where Online banking was discussed.
