As far as I know Millenicom does not set the policy, it is Verizon Wireless that sets and enforces throttling policy. If Verizon has absolutely no problems supporting the user, no congestion at a particular tower during the time the customer is using the tower, I guess they can disable automatic throttling. Verizon has said that they are seeing significant shifts to LTE for data as their LTE coverage expands. Maybe that would free up the EVDO Rev A 3G in your friend's area. Just a guess.
Im at almost 30 gigs but have been warned.Usually im around 15 gigs but we got a kindle and 3ds and netflix free to try so usage is up.Ive been with Millenicom for 2 years or so and am tired of paying this much.I think i might just cancel and use my phone for internet at this point. Also im .5 miles to far for dsl and cable and just give up at this point calling to see if they are going to extended it.

You might be able to switch the Netflix to the by mail DVD system they have. That might significantly reduce the data transfer amount per month using Millenicom.
Im only paying $45 a month unlimited. My wifes phone i'll have to pay an extra $30 for her hotspot unless i root her phone which i won't. It willl save me $30 a month.
