Is there is denial of service attack going on? Cant access

There seems to be issues with Verizon's or someone else's servers because I'm having the same issues, domains for certain sites aren't resolving. I've tried switching to OpenDNS and Google's DNS servers yet my tracerts/pings can't reach them whenever the problem shows up. It's intermittent too, outages lasting some 15-30 min then working fine for a bit before another outage.

I haven't noticed any issues with my Internet connection at home and I am using OpenDNS, though I can say that Verizon is overdue for their regional major routing outage. There has to be one at least every year. If something's going on today, then I suppose I'll find out soon enough

Yeah I noticed that the problems mostly cleared up, pages are coming up with no issues now, when I did a ipconfig /all I noticed a >connnection specific dns suffix nyc.rr.com come up, I've never seen that before in all my years using verizon hsi, I don't do alot of networking as I use to a couple of years back, so don't know if thats usual... My Vonage phones are still down though, gone cycle the box & see if I can get em working. Verizon said they noticed issue with my modem & were sending a free wireless modem, ick, I hate those low end boxes. But if it helps...

Don't see anything obvious in Williamsburg, got some issues in Amhurst/Buffalo.
