Will Charter Ever Switch To IPTV?

Maybe they still use the existing coax to the home then switch to Cat 5 or Cat 6 inside the home?

Why when they can do IP over coax through a number of methods?

VOD and SDV are IPTV of sorts.

TV Everywhere is a MSO project to push IPTV to hardware with the right client software. Channel owners and broadcasters are the biggest stumbling block in getting more content on to it. TWC, Comcast, Cox, Cablevision, FIOS, Uverse and DirecTV are using it among others to broadcast content to iOS, Android, PC, and Xbox devices.

Then again you were told this when you asked a couple months ago.

If it's important, back it up... twice. Even 99.999% availability isn't enough sometimes.

Sorry I forgot, mods can delete this one if they want. I keep forgetting to use search.

Charter in the future will most likely become just an ISP. 70% of all your TV can be viewed on the networks web sites with limited ad's. Or you can subscribe to the networks for no ad TV watching.
