Slow speeds in NE NJ

I tried to call cablevision about this, however there call center is overwhelmed with calls at the moment and I was turned away.

Over the paste few days, I noticed slow speeds (under 12 mb, or even less) on my ultra connection.

Has anyone else experienced this?

I thought Ultra had a higher level of support?

My residential line went down at 1AM today. I have business Internet from Optimum and it's still up and running. They go to the same CO, I did a traceroute when I got it and saw they routed through the same routers.

A few years ago some folks on here recommended pfSense as a router. Great advice! I have a homebrew PC managing the two WAN connections and two LAN connections (one for business one for home) from the same box on four physical NICs. When the residential WAN went down the pfSense box cut right over to the business line without anyone noticing. Really slick software. Many thanks to the folks who recommended it so many years ago.

Looks like they were doing some network maintenance. My IP address went from 68.197.67.x to 174.44.231.x.

Residential Boost.
