Router with dial up fallback

I am looking for a router either wired or wireless that has both Ethernet Wan And a dial up connection for truly redundant service, i have thought about also a broadband cellular card however i am unsure of stability of service. I am looking into this for a potential business, otherwise i would not worry about having a redundant connection.

Instead of typing "pfsense" all the time, I'm going to start linking back to my previous post. It's a plan that is as convoluted as it is elegant.

I was disappointed you didnt use your usual "SMARTIES" slogan...
Save the RED ones last.

Yeah, they seem to be sold out of the red ones a lot lately, so my little quip ends up just leading to more questions. I'll take credit for that model being so hot right now though.

When you say dial backup... which "dial backup" method are you looking for? RJ-11 phone? ISDN? 3G card?

What's your budget for this piece of equipment?

Any other requirements other than "dial backup" / redundant connections?

I would be using a pots line for my dialup. I would prefer a router style versus a server with software for multiple connections. I was even thinking about maybe even like a juniper networks router maybe even something I should be able to find for under 500 dollars

I would probably look at the 100 model based on your budget
I would be remiss not to clarify that besides dual wan, the backup options for connectivity are 3G and via an AUXilliary connection with supplied Y cable. The Aux connection would be typically connected to a modem (dial in management).

screen shot to follow.

Juniper SSG-5-SB-M and SSG-5-SH-M has a v92 dialback up capability, and in around your
$500 pricemark.

A Cisco 800-series, or 1805 / 1811 model router also would have v92 dialbackup capability.
A secondhand 1805 or 1811 router on ebay can probably be had for less than $500 these days
as they're EOL, but very powerful and capable boxes.

Suspect there's other (older) devices with POTS dialbackup capabilities, just can't think of
manufacturer / models off the top of my head.

Best of luck with the search, let us know how it goes.
