as much as i would like to say it was, the comcast direct forum has never been helpful to me. beyond re-provisioning your modem there is no help to be found over there.

You must not have had a problem that couldn't be fixed going the normal route.
Steve took care of two problems for me and e-mailed a week later to make sure verything was still working OK.
He will be missed here.

I agree. Steve was a great asset to the Comcast Direct Forum. He helped me fix the issues I was having with multiple cable modems (and a few old ones) showing up in my device list on the Comcast web portal.

Hopefully his leaving was on good terms with Comcast, and I wish him good luck on his future endeavors.
