Anyhow, the performance between coax and ethernet will the same. If the coax is RG-6 with proper compression ends, you're fine. Considering two of the three locations are already using ethernet for the PCs, I'd personally use coax for the STBs while installing the modem and coax splitter at the main panel.
Techs should be carrying D-Link DSG-1005G gigabit switches so if you request it, he'll probably install them for you. |
