Given this ban, why are they not being required to divest themself of the Shaw licenses as part of the approval of the deal. It looks like Industry Canada is falling down on the job here or has been paid off to look the other way.
The deal hasn't gone through yet. It is still subject to approval from the competition bureau, crtc and industry canada which isn't likely to happen until next year.
