Trouble pinging local computers

For a few weeks now I have been having trouble pinging some computers on my local network. The response I get back is an IPV6 response. Is this perhaps an AT&T mix up? The reason I question it, I recently installed Windows 7 in a virtual enviroment and got the same responses back from my local computers. The funny thing up until the day after Christmas, I was getting normal ipv4 ping responses. I know you can put in the -4 switch but I'm curious is anyone else experiencing the same issue or should I contact AT&T about it?
Thanks,
Scott

And the modem make and model is? Unless AT&T activated IPv6 on the RG, this is likely not something AT&T did.
