[DSL] Flaky MLPPP (SLPPP)

I know that MLPPP at this point is pointless as there is no throttling but not point of this thread....

I noticed that DSL on MLPPP gives a very flaky download connection (slow fluctuating speeds) while on DSL with MLPPP (off) maxes out my sync on the exact same download connection, with no issues.

Why is this?

What kind of router are you using? WRT54gl maxes out around 15-20mbps with mlppp ON, it can't handle it.

This is strange. If you wouldn't mind, could you post in the direct forum so we can have one of our techs look into this for you?

If you're running a Linux-based router, is the downstream RX error count (ifconfig output for the ppp device) non-zero or increasing? If it is, it might be the same problem I encountered more than a year ago.
