Try connecting to the modem by IP address rather than MAC address.

192.168.100.1 would be the first address to try.

You don't say what type of modem you are trying this on, whether it is your's or their modem, and whether Mediacom has loaded their own firmware on the device. It would not be unusual for Mediacom to have disabled SNMP on the device for all but their own use, as it represents both a security risk and a way for a user to potentially unlock features that the ISP doesn't want modified.

I would be happy to look into this for you and see if I can assist in any way. Just private message me your account information and once I have your equipment pulled up we can start working on this issue.

I have a Motorola surfboard 6580. It's my modem. So mediacom didn't update anything on it. I just want to be able to monitor my bandwith for my home network.
