[FireFox] Plug-in check tab

I am using Firefox 15.0 on a XP pro system. I am again getting the plug-in check tab every time the browser opens. It happened a while back and I managed to get rid of it but I don't remember how. It really slows down Firefox when it opens along with my home page. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Is there any reason you have not updated to a newer Firefox? The current version is 18.0.1.

Also, from Tools/Add-Ons, go to the Plugins tab, then click on the "Check to see if your plugins are up to date" button at the top.

I updated to 18.0.1 but my roboform stopped working so I rolled back to 16.0.1 so it would work again. My plugins are current except for the one labeled Microsoft DRM but the update button only takes me the page to download media player 11. Nothing about a DRM update.

What version Roboform? Looking at their web site, the latest version is 7.8.6.5 and has been updated to support the new install method that doesn't require restarting FF.

OK. Thanks for the Roboform tip. I'll try it.
