 | MLPPP problem with the modem Sagemcom 2864 Hello,
I just got the new service set up, its is HIGH SPEED DSL 25, Dry Loop. I add the service of MLPPP on it.
Currently I have the modem Sagemcom 2864, which can also function as a router. And I bought a router WRT54GL for the MLPPP purpose. This router is already upgraded to Tomato/MLPPP Version 1.27.
Problem:
As far as I know, to use MLPPP, the router should be operating in PPPoE mode. However, I can connect to the internet through the router WRT54GL in WAN type DHCP, but it is not working when I use PPPoE in this router.
What can I do to enable the MLPPP function?
Thank you! |

|
 | I did put the login in the Sagemcom. But I don't know how to establish a PPPoe connection and MLPPP on the router WRT54GL. |
|
 | The modem has to be in bridge mode. Enter your pppoe information in the router at Basic>Network. -- db |

 | I can't find the setting of bridge mode on this modem. What am I suppose to do? |

| I'm not at all familiar with that modem. Hopefully somebody else can help with that, or maybe you can find help in the documentation or on the web.
Short of that, buying a good consumer-friendly modem might be the peace-of-mind option for the long term. -- db |

| reply to wuyucong1990 do not use mlppp with a 25mbit and WRT54GL.
It's not fast enough, you will only get 19mbits/s maximum and possibly have other problems.
You don't need mlppp, bell should have stopped throttling by now.
Install tomatousb on your wrt54gl. |
