Brookline, MA | Same here. I have grandfathered Verizon dry loop DSL and there are no taxes or fees. |

I feel your pain.
When I had DSL in Brooklyn I couldn't believe the taxes either. I went to dry line DSL to save on taxes as well.
I now moved to jersey City and have 1 phone line with DSl @ 47.99 ???
I can't see the actual DSL charge but I do see a charge for $29.99 for Freedom Essentials.
It looks like this Basic 25.55
Non Basic: 32.12 (Maybe DSL) for a total bill for 57.67
Here are the taxes:
