Re: Rechargeable batteries qustionEveryone swears by eneloops... I have not used them. I tend to go with PowerEx 2700mha AA's and Lenmar 1000mha AAA's. » www.amazon.com/Powerex-2 ··· 009H5VVM» www.amazon.com/Lenmar-Ba ··· 0175HETWThe Lenmar 2700mah never seem to quite live up to the claim of 2700.. the PowerEx 2700mah usually land around 2500mah or higher (saw one hit 2900 one time) on my battery tester/charger. The Lenmar 1000mah AAA's usually land between 890 and 950mah depending on the batch. |

Eneloops are the first that I heard about right here on DSLR.
I have tried others but these cells are great. |

I will say no matter which brand you go with... make sure you don't use fast chargers.
I used to wear out rechargeables with a duracell 15 mins charger.
Since I switched to a MH-C9000 and used the lowest possible charge rate (.33 * mAh rating) they all last considerable longer. The MH-C9000 also has several features that let you cycle the batteries... it is a bit expensive but I have made up the cost in not having to constantly buy new rechargeable batteries.
This might all be overkill if the only rechargeable your going to use is your mouse... I only keep packs of normal batteries for emergencies... I use rechargeable in everything. |

I can't find much on that unit... but if it recharges in 15 mins I would avoid it! Amazon is being very weird about that product... what kind of speed tests do you get on your battery charger? heheh |

I have tested my charger, and it takes 1 hour to recharger. As for holding a charger they last for quite awhile. The charger comes with 1.25v 1150mAh batteries. |

Now those » www.amazon.com/gp/produc ··· i=507846 i would avoid at any cost. I would not want those even for free. |

Look back in the topic & you will see I do not use that mouse. I leave my Logitech on 24/7 & get approx "18 Months" from a Duracell. |

I bought the Energizer CHP4WB4 Recharge Smart AA/AAA Charger with 4 AA NiMH Batteries to keep my Wireless Xbox Controller supplied with batteries two years ago ... and depending on gameplay, I replace batteries maybe once every 1-2 weeks. So far ... the original 4 batteries that came with the charger are holding a charge with no reduction of power. Charging time is 5-8 hours. I'm quite satisfied with my under-$20.00 purchase. » www.amazon.com/Energizer ··· 03SP4QAE |

They do not make PC accessories. It's called "made in China" |

It doesn't matter where an accessory is actually made; if Microsoft endorses it by putting their name on it, they are responsible for its quality. |

Sure you get 18 months. LOL! the draw rate would have to be less then 1mah to last 18 months. Are you delusional??
So unless your getting 10,000% efficiency out of the mouse, your nuts. |

Not when the mouse is smart enough to automatically use standby mode after detecting no activity. (You don't even need to turn the switch to "off" when not using overnight or several days.) |

Do your research before you make assumptions. I don't care what you believe. It is what it is. |

I think Anonymous_ is being sarcastic. There is no mouse that would last for 18month maybe in the future, or maybe cell batteries powered mouse. |

Again, do the research before making assumptions. 18 months isn't even the best they offer. Mine has 1 battery. They have 3 year mice using 2 batteries. Look into it and you'll see the technology behind it.
I'll add: every claim is "Up to", but we're not talking that this mouse would average only a month or 2 instead of 18 months. My 1st original Duracell battery that came with my M570 lasted me approximately 17+ months. |

Even lithium batteries would not last that long. |

Remember, you can toy around with finding the "best" battery, but the limitation of your mouse is the problem. |
