[iPhone] Hotspot not working

I had Verizon activate the Hotspot feature a couple months back
Shortly after, I tried it and it worked on my MBP

Couple or so weeks later and every time since I connect and get an IP
No browsing on my MBA I always have in field
I tried turning off wifi & plugging in via USB and got IP but no browsing

Just now tried wifi on my MBP and it also gets an IP but can't get out

What are the odds this is hardware or something I need to contact Verizon about?
Coincidently, my 2 year Square warrantee run out yesterday...

Try this first:

Reset all network settings. (that's in settings)

If that doesn't work, give Verizon a call.

To get the hotspot working sometimes you have to completely restart the device for it to register the phone. Your data connection sometimes on the hotspot is dead even though it shows it's on and a restart registers the phone on the network again and usually gets it up and going.

Also another thing I would do is change the name of your phone, if it has a 's in the title under Settings ->General -> About. I notice a lot of times phones with the 's do not properly broadcast the signal but once you remove it it's almost flawless and works every time.

Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings

I had the same problem on my iPad yesterday. Reset network settings did the trick.
