kudos:2 | Might be a bad TPS. I've seen that type of behaviour before with a bad one. Try disconnecting it and see how it runs on the default parameters. |

It was loose wire was causing a misfire on one cylinder.
$35 repair. he also checked the other connections as well.. |

unfortunately it started happening again. Not as bad though.
really killing my gas mileage getting 9 MPG city and 15MPG on the highway.
huge drop considering it took out one cylinder.
one cylinder is just a huge drag when it's not working correctly. still not getting any codes
No smoke from the tail pipe. |

#5 popped off resetting did nothing though.
but it is making a popping noise from it every now and then

A light spray of water mist with a hand sprayer may also make it easier to find the ignition leak. (assuming that is what the problem is)

Yep, those are the coil packs. If 2 and 5 are the problem, pull the wires, clean the ends and the coil plugin, and then lightly coat with petroleum jelly. It's dielectric.

kudos:2 | I would use 300 grit emery cloth, or sandpaper. It usually doesn't take much to clean them. For the coil pack, wrap it around a pencil and twirl it to clean. |
