Re: Need opinion on moving to Whitby, ON - please When I was looking for a house, there was a trade off, I could get a bigger house outside the city for the same money, but then I'd have to "commute".
I don't relish the thought of having to spend an hour or more a day sitting in my car to commute to my home in the "burbs".
Then I thought about GO, but being in the NW they only had 3 trains (at the time) each way, and what would curtail into my after work activities (not necessarily going to the local pub to drink). -- No, I didn't. Honest... I ran out of gas. I... I had a flat tire. I didn't have enough money for cab fare. My tux didn't come back from the cleaners. An old friend came in from out of town. Someone stole my car. There was an earthquake....... |
 PaoloMr. Wireless join:2004-05-29 canada | Witby, North Ajax, Brooklin, these are all good neighbourhoods, the only problem with the GO is that its not really that convenient, yeah there is a go train in whitby and ajax, but not everyone works in downtown toronto near union station, not everyone works a 8 to 4:30 job, so driving to and from those neighbourhoods is a must. i say go ahead with it, once metrolinks takes over the ttc and duram transit, and intrgrates it, you could take the duram transit and then transfer to the ttc without re-paying for a fare again, but only time will tell before we get that one. -- Happiness is like peeing your pants... Everyone can see it, but only you can feel its Warmth!! |
