As a young boy I remember seeing him play the Phillies at Connie Mack stadium from about 1956 to 1963 when he retired. Even in his later years he was still an amazing hitter. R.I.P.

On a side note, I also saw ESPN reporting that Hall of Fame manager Earl Weaver also died at the age of 82.
