[Cable] Internet dropping out occasionally

I'm on the 18/0.5 cable package in Mississauga. Internet service has been cutting out roughly once a week, usually in the evenings.

Modem is a DCM476 purchased from Teksavvy. Here are the statistics, anything look concerning?

Forward Path:
Channel Frequency Power SNR BER Modulation
1 591.0 MHz 2.5 dBmV 40.7 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
2 597.0 MHz 2.3 dBmV 40.9 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
3 603.0 MHz 2.2 dBmV 40.8 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
4 609.0 MHz 2.5 dBmV 40.6 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
5 615.0 MHz 3.0 dBmV 40.3 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
6 621.0 MHz 2.7 dBmV 40.3 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
7 633.0 MHz 2.8 dBmV 41.3 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
8 639.0 MHz 2.6 dBmV 41.3 dB 0.000 % 256 QAM
Return Path:
Channel ID Frequency Power Modulation
5 31.3 MHz 33.8 dBmV 16 QAM
6 25.3 MHz 32.3 dBmV 16 QAM
7 22.1 MHz 32.3 dBmV 16 QAM
8 38.6 MHz 35.3 dBmV 16 QAM

Not sure if this is an issue with the modem, cable drop or Teksavvy's service.
Router has been eliminated as an issue as the problem persisted when connected directly to a PC.

I've noticed that during times of outage the BER column shows errors on several channels.

I have the same ongoing problem with my DCM476 modem on the cable 18 package in Toronto.

Not a router problem since I have 3 functioning routers and none of them would give me internet access, or when I directly connect the modem to my computer.

I actually have this problem RIGHT NOW and have to use my neighbor's internet (distributel), which seems more reliable.

If you'd like to post in the »/forum ··· avdirect forum we can take a look at your situation & possibly see where the issue lies.

I have the same issue. It happens atleast once per week in the middle of watching online TV or video gaming. I have to unplug my cable modem, wait 5 seconds and re-plug and the internet is back.

I've been experiencing intermittent drops too (Greensboro POI). It actually just happened as I was reading this thread. I think I'll make a thread about it in the TekSavvy Direct forum.

Using the same modem? I'm on the same POI with a SB6120 and not experiencing any issues at all.

No, I'm using the Motorola SB5101N. It probably doesn't have anything to do with the Greensboro POI.
