Been having connection issues for three months, and TWC is no closer to resolving it to this day. Have had three techs out, and they said that the modem tested fine. One tech did see packet loss, and had a line tech come out. No word on what he found. Communication to me is sparse if existent at all! Last tech came out and said that the issue was the battery probably. He removed it from the modem. We are still getting connection drops several times a day.
I'm at my whits end as to what is causing this. Anyone had this happen and how was it resolved?

 fetfet join:2012-03-23 San Antonio, TX | ive been having these same problems down in san antonio, 3 techs have been out, 2 new modems, new main line and still the same thing. communication is non existent in my case, friday before last i was told that the tech supervisor would call either the next day saturday or monday, thats been a week and no call. |

 | I'm wondering what else can be done. In essence TWC is stealing money from me by not providing services that I pay for, and not doing due the diligence to get my service working.  |

 fetfet join:2012-03-23 San Antonio, TX | looks like my problem is being resolved, had another tech out yesterday and said the main tech was at the node and was seeing some packet loss, came down and messed with the box in my backyard, then said he was going to replace some connections at the main node and he would monitor my line the next couple nights. so far it seems to be back at full speed, was getting 51/5 on speed tests last night. |

 | reply to raventx New modem was installed and the issue still is happening. Might be a DNS issue....websites will not load, but are pingable through the router's tools. It's so sporadic, and is frustrating as hell! |

 | reply to raventx REally? This is all that it was???? The modem was not fully configured. DNS Relay was not checked.
The Level 3 tech over the phone, got into the router, and did the following:
Enabled DNS relay Enabled UPnP Enable Multicast
The ONLY issue I have is that turning on Multicast is risky, so I deactivated that. Anyway.... been getting solid connectivity.
Wish someone like this tech in Level 3 would have done this in the first place! Wow! How many people came to my house, and how many calls have I had to make?? CRAZINESS! |
