[Vista] Videos Not Available

Could somebody go to this link and see if they get a video.
It is an Xfinity link.

All I get is the blue header "News Videos".

»xfinity.comcast.net/video/Danger···eoClips/

Click for full size
Not on Vista (Win 7), but the page loads fine for me.

For what it is worth, here are my versions of things that may effect the loading and playing of the video. I'm not sure if they do require anything, but wanted to put it out there so you could compare.

Browser: Waterfox 18.0.1
Java Version: 7 Update 11
Flash Version: 11.5.502.146

I also have Comcast as my ISP.

Outside of the OS difference I am using IE9 and everything else is the same.

Will keep looking as I am thinking of make Xfinity as my home page.

I did try it in IE9 (both the 32 bit and 64 bit) and the video plays as well.

I also want to point out that I don't have any kind of Ad-Block or Cookie Management software or settings in place (Ad Block plus for example). Whatever cookies a given page wants to set, or ad's that want to come my way, I let the pages do it.

So, if you are running any of the above types of settings or software, you might look into that as well to see if that is why the videos won't play.

I use CCleaner to manage my cookies. I read a post that said sometimes getting ride of you cookies and history would take care of this. I have all my cookies exported just in case. I went ahead and deleted my cookies and then imported them back. None of my sites would log me in automatically. I had to log in to everyone and save the cookies in CCleaner.

After all that I just tried the Xfinity home page again and I can now watch the videos.

Go figure.

Thanks for giving me some tips.

Well, glad it is working for you now again.

The only thing I can think of is that when you cleared your cookies, the one for the comcast / xfinity page may have been corrupted. Clearing them out may have caused the page to re-write the cookie, and this time, it was written without errors.

Sure that's a long shot, and a total guess on my part.

In any case, it works now, so that's all that matters!

Have a great day!
