I have a 02 explorer with a split/crack near the rear wipers. I have noticed this on alot of explorers. I am just wondering if its a defect that ford knows about and they will repair it at no charge. I was thinking of trying to put silicone in the crack for a repair.
There's no point in sealing it up, as it doesn't lead to the interior of the vehicle. There's no real way to repair it, all you can do is replace the whole applique (which is no fun task).
