Re: Suggestions for the 2013 Anti Virus Poll I think you need to make this as "across the board" as possible.
Vipre AVG Bitdefender Bullguard eScan CAT-Quickheal Fortinet Gdata Trend Ahnlab PCTools 360 Safeguard Blink Endpoint Commtouch Ikarus FileMedic Filseclab Hauri K7 Computing Kingsoft Quickheal MSecure MalwareSecure Total Defense Consumer TrustPort VIRUSfighter Pro Zeobit
Some of these I've listed not on the initial list must be worth including. It would have to be a fair request. The poll must be neutral to as many known as possible.
A/V is so clouded now for malware, trojans, worms, etc, trying to split malware tools from A/V programs is only guided by "allowing to be active alongside an A/V"; whereas 2 A/V's are not suggested to run together.

 | Also, the poll has to be more detailed. Such for an example>
Ease of use and Detection rates
Also, most AVs has bundled in firewall and other security features in them and not just being an AV.
I dont know. But I think it must be taken into account. |

Several multiple mentions from the "What are you running" thread like AVG & Bit Dedfender are absent. They shouldn't be relegated to "other", I suspect their user base exceeds some that did make this draft list.
Edit: My bad, I thought I posted about AVG there, but it was here. Still, my point remains the same. |
