24/4 Ashland, KY Install Nightmare

I called WS last week to see if they had a package with a faster upload speed (was on 12/.65). I was told that I was in an area that could get 24/4. The install was scheduled for this past Friday with a window of 8am-5pm. My old service was turned off at 2pm Friday. By 6pm I hadn't heard from anybody and called back. I was told "it got dark" so they would be coming out the next day. She specifically said that they had been approved for overtime to work on Saturday. So I sat at home all day Saturday and nobody showed up. I called at 6pm again, but the offices were already closed. I didn't expect anybody Sunday but stayed home all day just in case (nobody came). This morning I called again (had been without internet since Friday). The lady called the local guys again and told me they were planning to come tomorrow but would try and get to me today. By this time I was pretty upset with the entire process. At noon today the guys showed up. They were under the impression that they were setting up a 24/2 bonded pair. They looked at my NID and said it had the older wiring and needed to be re-wired with CAT3 (for another $100+) in order for the bonded pair to work. I told them I wasn't interested. The guy looked at his order and saw that it was actually for 24/4 VDSL2. He pulled my address up on his PC and confirmed that I was 4700 from the DSLAM and the max for VDSL2 was 3500 (why didn't the rep tell me this when I originally called?????). Again, I told them to just cancel everything and put me back on my old plan. He said it would take them about 30 minutes to switch back over. About 30 minutes later he came back and said they would like to try the VDSL2 and see if it would work. He got it setup in just a few minutes. The best they could get was 20 down and 1 up. After they left, everything worked fine until around 6pm.

this is what I'm getting at 8:52pm

I'm going to try it for the rest of the week, but I think I'll be going back to my other service.
