Perhaps so; I just did not equate a small external computer plug in module with a small fishing boat (silly me).

If that is indeed the case, then the OP is probably not going to be able to setup the DNS servers used by the gateway because Comcast has not provided that functionality to the customer. I do not have access to one of those boxes at the present time, but I do know that functionality was not originally available in those boxes the last time that I looked at one.

In regards to your issue, if you could provide the information that NetFixer See Profile has asked for, someone will be able to help you set up OpenDNS on the "Aris Dongle Gateway modem". An exact Model # would help with that. It should be printed on the outside of the unit, either directly, or on some kind of sticker attached to it.

Does this Arris Dongle Gateway Modem have a model number? I can't find any documentation for an Arris Dongle Gateway. Perhaps if you post a model number, someone might be able to offer assistance.

To change advanced DNS, WINS, and IP settings, click Advanced.
