<description><![CDATA[racebyu posted : Can you tell me why you have to put the Hitron in bridged mode if using your own router?<br>If you just put your external router on one of the ports could you still not get though to the internet? <br>or does change some other settings for speed etc.  I know the original wireless would still be functional but does that matter?<br>When connected to my Hitron via wireless I can get make 30-50Mbs when within 6' of the unit and then when wired directly speed is 150-250Mbs. <br>Will I get better speed by throwing a Linksys E2500 router on the unit then the orignal Hitron wireless? ]]></description>
