Same thoughts. It's ridiculous. If those enormous network costs cannot be covered with existing consumer revenue, here's a two step plan:

1) Eliminate inefficiency and waste from bloated and bureaucratic processes/organizations
2) Adapt services/products that are priced below a profitable level

Imagine the electric company going after folks who make the hair dryers, space heaters, electronics, coffee pots, air conditioners and [name your favorite energy sucking appliance].

WTF? It isn't Google generating the traffic. Youtube video doesn't come unsolicited. GMail isn't delivered unsolicited. These services are ONLY delivered because Orange's customers requested it. Google is opening a can of worms they're going to wish they hadn't as greedy operators worldwide look to double dip, charging twice for content delivery.
