Time zone error

I tried to update my time zone information for my account. After selecting the correct time zone and selecting 'enter' I received an error message - - that the Email address is already in use. (I am not changing my EMail address.) Thanks

That field is for entering a "NEW" e-mail address.
I am wondering if you tried leaving it blank?
