Re: Does Bell allow Dual Login?

I have a personal router connected to one of the port on the sagemcom. (using my b1xxxx code and a pppoe style connexion on the personal router)

It was working fine until last night. now, it stopped working. If i remove the sagemcom b1 user, my personnal router can connect.

If I put it back, my router gets deconnected and the sagemcom reconnect.

I called tech support... the guy is clueless and more, he told me that there was no new firmware updates (that not what ppl in the forum are saying)

Bottom line, the multiple PPPoE was working until lately..

Unlike what they say, there has been an update that killed that feature. I know, that sucks.

So, what that means is.. we are STUCK with there equipement.

I had a VPN server on private router. now I can't even set it up on my local lan because Bell's router dosent support static routing.

that router sucks big time

technically there is a way to bypass the sagemcom completely. If you don't have TV, it's pretty easy to do (only need VLANs).

And if I have TV ? (because i do )

Cant I just put a layer-3 switch with VLANS vor the TV and tag another port to the internet's vlan and connect my router to that port ?

The theory is there.. if it would work? thats another matter
