Re: Manual Installation of BOINC on Windows Server A domain controller yeah I can see that, file and folder permissions are greatly locked down on that setup. Fortunately all my DC's run as virtual machines so I just run BOINC on the host or in a separate VM of it's own. That said, even on domain joined servers (not DCs) I've yet to have a problem doing a standard install. But, just because I've yet to run into an issue doesn't mean others won't have issues.
