[IL] Buy own Cable/Telephone modem combo, models supported
Can I get a list of the models that support the VOIP telephone modem cable combo. I currently have the RCA DHG534 model and would like to purchase my own. Does anyone know if I can purchase a DHG535 / DHG536 RCA model since I can't find a DHG534 model anywhere online. I have the 30Mbps HSI mediacom internet and telephone service. Also if I purchase this combo unit, will I still have to pay the 5.00 a month EMTA fee for the phone line knowing I'll still pay the 5.00 a month telephone service fee.

Currently the best modems offered are the Technicolor DHG574 (which you can purchase from us for 149.95) or the Cisco DPC3925. With the 30Mbps HSI and the updating technology I would go with a D3 modem over an older D2 or D1.1 modem. If you purchase your own modem, the $5.00/month EMTA fee will be removed.
