I know that the Program Files (x86) is used for 32 bit programs - ie: windows installed the program files for 32 bit apps in this folder. Program Files is used for 64 bit.
Am I correct in thinking that this is just for ease of use or does Win 7 use these paths differently.
I want to install Win 7 Pro but I want to install the programs I can to a Application partition rather than the 'normal' path. Just want to be sure that mixing 32 and 64 bit programs on a App partition will not cause issues.
