Re: FTTN 25/10 and 50/10 with Fibe TV + Unlimited Bandwidth

said by coaxguy:

I will call Monday, maybe the packages will be updated on the site by then.

My best friend is a Bell tech who did the copper grooming in this area, and did my Fibe 25 hookup, so im 100% positive im on a 7330 slam. He was under the impression 50/10 was already rolling out.

The only 50/10 rolling are people who are in test phase.

And I've never seen a attainable rate of 170/70...

Not true.

So your saying when I called this morning to inquire, and was told "your qualified for 50meg, but we can only offer it in a FibeTV bundle", thats incorrect? Because thats what I was told.

As I stated, the 50 plan interests me as I currently have 25/10 and my attainable on my line is 170 down and 70 up. But not if I have to add TV service to get it.

No way is 50/10 going to be possible for FibeTV... unless you're on a 7330 remote.

I am on a Alcatel 7330 slam

Call again, see what they tell you.

I'm very postive only those SLAM would be able to support 50/10 with FibeTV (without losing speed when someone is using internet), OSLAM stinger can forget about FibeTV 50/10, for people who want internet only can get 50/10 though... But I'm sure they will still offer it, even though it's going to be like the 15/10 FibeTV.

50/10 would be sweet, Mop the floor with the cable carrier with that line mix.

I would signup for it right away and switch to 15/10 after the promotional price ends

Haters gonna hate. 50/10 will be available if your line has the room for it and from what I heard you dont need to sign up for TV. We shall see as more details arrive.

So where they going to move their 50/50 package? I'm guessing they're going to charge more for it? and place the 50/10 where the 50/50 package is without needing the TV requisite....

As a current Fibe 25/10 customer with a pending install with Start.ca, I called to find out about this.

They will only sell you the 50meg inet if you sign up for FibeTV.

No thanks.

how many times do you think you need to call in to 310-bell to correct the mistakes on your bill for that "promotion"

good luck with that......

You can get unlimited from Teksavvy for less, and not risk having to do business with the most unscrupulous company in the country.

Just sayin'.

@bell.ca

I was told that Bell will be launching starting monday 25/10 and 50/10 (both 49.95 for 6 months) on FTTN with Fibe TV in select areas.

Bell will also now offer Unlimited Bandwidth on their internet (extra 30$/mo)

Seems pretty good to me!
