Re: FTTN 25/10 and 50/10 with Fibe TV + Unlimited Bandwidth

I got mine bumped up to the 50/10 as well . . . it changed to 25/10 within minutes, but I am still waiting to get the 50 speeds.

Well I asked for unlimited 10$ and email confirmation says 30$... the guy says I'll get a discount of 20$... can't wait to see this bill...

Why you know it's going to show the 30$ figure instead of 10$

Called in, could not get the promo price of 49.99. The best they could do was $79.99

They also discounted the POTS basic line $5, discounted my satellite $30 and added the $10 unlimited bandwidth. So all in all, it makes the jump to 50/10 $54.99 a month for the service and bandwidth taking into account the discounts.

Thanks to a off duty tech on here, my profile was already changed and this is what im getting...

I was told the same thing with regards to the $30. They said it will show as 30 but will be discounted to 10.

No advertisement for unlimited option.
I wonder how Rogers will counter this option. Will they also now give unlimited option for $30? Lets see.

I was an existing customer. As well they said for Fibe customers 25/10 and 50/10 is now available.

I am on as well. I started with the 25/10 less than 40 days ago. If they wont give it to me for $49.99, I will give my notice.

Do they advertise a 50/50 package? Or is that something only 'special' people on the forum have access to?

I had 25/7 a year ago so yes.

What I means is, does it say you qualify for 25/10 at least.

Since I'm guessing you no longer have the service... the qualification tools bugs sometimes when you don't have a phone line with Bell any more.

Try calling. You need 3 bell services to get it for $10.

Nevermind... she told me after hahahah.

Jill: You will get unlimited usage for $10 if all the services are bundled together
Jill: You need to get all three services in one bill
Jill: Then you will get $10 for unlimited usage or else it will be $30 f

Looks interesting for $50 initially and high usage, might be worth switching to. Although the website is updated, my location doesn't support it yet. Could be they haven't updated the database or old 50 year old apartment won't support it.

And can you get 25/10 ?

I called and they confirmed the unlimited option.

In the TekSavvy thread someone has posted that they are reserving 25mbps for iptv and 50 for Internet with these new tiers. I'd be happy with that. All streams going now, they couldn't even sustain 9 mbps for Internet.

Chat person from the bell site say it's 30$... I would grab that 10$ now if you can lol.
Jill: Unlimited usage insurance plan is available for $30

This would only work for 7330 SLAms.

Great promo right now. Unlimited bandwidth for 10$ a month, compatible with all offers and with existing clients.

This is in a bundle, $30 otherwise I was told.

Before they had about 11mbps reserved for FibeTV so your Internet does not slow down when watching two or less HD streams. Any idea what this is now when you get the 50/10? The rep did not know.

I don't see this promo no where... it still has the 80$ max cap...

BTW they didn't reserve anything for TV, it just took the speed off your Internet. Each time you used IPTV your internet speed went down.... it's only when they limited to 15/10 that it was less apparent since HD streams are about 5mbps.

Are they still doing this over a single pair or bonding two? A tech told me a few weeks ago they would be using bonding for 50mbps.

Are they going to offer more streams on fibe tv now? I hope so.

Is this why, according to my modem stats, I now have: VDSL2 Profile 17A? I think this profile is for a max 50mbps. Could this be in preparation for the increases?

Well you don't really need 17a for 50mbps... Maybe it benefits more for people that are further away.

Well im hoping Monday will have some updated info in the Bell system. They offer 50/50 for $49.99 ongoing to customers as long as they have 3 services with Bell, so im assuming they will offer 50/10 as well. If thats the case I may cancel my start.ca install.
