Testing from your friends device is not the best, since the modem is obviously the end user limits which give totaly different readings... this is also doesn't show where he tested it.

Tested at the modem jack at the panel where I have my modem mounted.

But these are not stats directly from the modem, that's for sure.

Oh, no thats for sure, but id definitively be able to get 50/10 at the modem.

Oh yeah, and probably with FibeTV. Thoses on 7330 are lucky... since it supports 17a VDSL2 Vs Stinger 12a.

Coaxguy,

50/10 will be available on standalone Internet... 50/10 will also be available on fibe tv but on 7330 only. As Kovy pointed out need 17a to deliver the 65mb required for tv 50.

Is this why, according to my modem stats, I now have: VDSL2 Profile 17A? I think this profile is for a max 50mbps. Could this be in preparation for the increases?

Well im hoping Monday will have some updated info in the Bell system. They offer 50/50 for $49.99 ongoing to customers as long as they have 3 services with Bell, so im assuming they will offer 50/10 as well. If thats the case I may cancel my start.ca install.

Well you don't really need 17a for 50mbps... Maybe it benefits more for people that are further away.

Are they still doing this over a single pair or bonding two? A tech told me a few weeks ago they would be using bonding for 50mbps.

Are they going to offer more streams on fibe tv now? I hope so.

This is in a bundle, $30 otherwise I was told.

Before they had about 11mbps reserved for FibeTV so your Internet does not slow down when watching two or less HD streams. Any idea what this is now when you get the 50/10? The rep did not know.

I don't see this promo no where... it still has the 80$ max cap...

BTW they didn't reserve anything for TV, it just took the speed off your Internet. Each time you used IPTV your internet speed went down.... it's only when they limited to 15/10 that it was less apparent since HD streams are about 5mbps.

I called and they confirmed the unlimited option.

In the TekSavvy thread someone has posted that they are reserving 25mbps for iptv and 50 for Internet with these new tiers. I'd be happy with that. All streams going now, they couldn't even sustain 9 mbps for Internet.

Looks interesting for $50 initially and high usage, might be worth switching to. Although the website is updated, my location doesn't support it yet. Could be they haven't updated the database or old 50 year old apartment won't support it.

Chat person from the bell site say it's 30$... I would grab that 10$ now if you can lol.
Jill: Unlimited usage insurance plan is available for $30

This would only work for 7330 SLAms.

Try calling. You need 3 bell services to get it for $10.
