I am feeling a bit dense. I am understanding a lot more, but I realize there is a lot more to understand. I have some more questions. I am looking to only have one number at this time.
1. What is the difference between a floating channel and a dedicated channel? I see »
www.anveo.com/faq.asp?co ··· _channel but I don't see how I would notice a difference.
2. Why would I need 2 or more channels? Are two channels needed for conferencing or forwarding?
3. Does somebody know of a web page or thread with examples of "IVR Call Flow" setups that got by with 10 or fewer items?
4. Even the Free subscription package has 2 "Users/SIP Accounts included". Why would I need 2 or more of those?
5. Starter shows "Incoming SMS/Texting rate " of $0.01 and Yes for "SMS from user portal". So if somebody sent a text message to my phone number, what would happen? Is permitting incoming text messages to my number mandatory?

www.anveo.com/consumer/m ··· bers.asp says "There is no setup fee when you buy a phone number on 'Personal Unlimited' or 'Office Unlimited' rate plan! " I think this means that if I got a new number assigned by Anveo and signed up for 'Personal Unlimited' there would be no number fee. If I port an existing number to 'Value' or 'Personal Unlimited' there is a one-time $15 fee.

www.anveo.com/faq.asp?co ··· d_portin says "A phone number ported to Anveo in USA, Canada or UK it be SMS enabled and thus capable of receiving SMS/Text Messages." What are they trying to say there? This may relate to my question #5.
If you know the answer to one or more of these questions, or if you think I missed something, please post. Thanks, and thanks for the great information on the previous posts.
