Re: 2 DVR's playback stutters, skips and pauses
said by INtheKnow :Well that's interesting. I have not figured out if it's only one network or not cause it just started a couple weeks ago. I do notice occasional short pauses when I watch the hockey game on Fox Sports Midwest.
Every time i hear of an issue such as this it seem to be FOX network programing i remember major issues with the last season of 24.
I think these issues are caused by Digital Copyright Encoding put on by the broadcaster if it were a problem with Charter or your DVR it would happen on all recordings reguardless of the source.
We have one new black Motorola box, not a Moxi, and an older gray Motorola box cause they ran out of the black ones. Both had the same problem on the same show. These problems don't occur every day or on every show and only at night which really hurts trying to troubleshoot.
@zach3 - My wife and son both want me to switch to Uverse because my she helped set her mother up on it and they haven't had any problems and neither did my son at his apartment but, like you said, when my wife tried to make some changes, it was pure hell on the phone for four hours.
My problems began with them when I lived on the outskirts of town (St. Charles) and DSL was just starting to move into the area. ATT insisted on selling me their package, going as far as sending me a modem, but DSL wasn't available where I was. It took 3 years (and several free modems) before I was able to get it, and it was far slower and unreliable than promised.
