Re: Internet in Grey county, Ontario ah, Grey County. I think they are one of the countires that sold off their population (and local entrepreneurs) to Bell and Rogers so that the likes of Bell et all can charge ridiculous sky-high fee's.
See: » Bruce County. No competiton for you
After they got it in, people started getting mega-bills in the hundreds. Kinda funny.
Maybe there is info here for who is around that you can choose from: »www.grey.ca/government-administr···tiative/
Xplornet seems to be there, but I do believe they throttle, charge insane overages and lock you into multi-year contracts. Not 100% sure though. But you can search this forum for Xplornet. Pretty sure they are mentioned more than one on Geists site for various reasons
Let us know what competition you find out there. Has me curious. |

| Whats funny was I was on that grey county site already, looking through options.
I heard that the cell modem service was decent at least with Rogers til they hiked up the price, and removed the overage fees.
I've pretty much realized if they want internet, they'll need to go WISP - which is fine since they have the tower already - but the speeds just aren't sufficient as my mom does occasionally work on proposals and such from home. :\
As for Xplornet: I'm quite aware of their practices... Bruce Street Telecom was also on that FOIA from Michael Geist.
