Re: Internet in Grey county, Ontario

Whats funny was I was on that grey county site already, looking through options.

I heard that the cell modem service was decent at least with Rogers til they hiked up the price, and removed the overage fees.

I've pretty much realized if they want internet, they'll need to go WISP - which is fine since they have the tower already - but the speeds just aren't sufficient as my mom does occasionally work on proposals and such from home. :\

As for Xplornet: I'm quite aware of their practices... Bruce Street Telecom was also on that FOIA from Michael Geist.

Bruce Street Telecom - No residential
Grey Bruce Telecom - 79.99 for 5mbps
Ehtel - 64.99 for 5mbps, 35GB
HuronTel - Ripley area only
Maximum ISP - 69.95 for 3mbps
PacketWorks - not really an option
Point to Point broadband - out of area

Walters Falls is not a great place for internet access.
