Re: [TWC] more SB6120 blue lights

said by rchandra:

I noticed something didn't look quite normal with my cable modem yesterday...then finally it dawned on me: it went from two blue lights (RECEIVE, LINK) to three (also SEND). So it looks like the Buffalo, NY area was upgraded to bonded upstream channels.

Thanks.

interesting can you post a screen shot of the signals from 192.168.100.1? I know with the SB6120 you can't get anymore than 4 downstreams.

English is a difficult enough language to interpret correctly when its rules are followed, let alone when a writer chooses not to follow those rules.

Jeopardy! replies and randomcaps REALLY suck!

your downstream is way too high! 10 dBmV to be in fact, should be close to 0 as possible. Mines always around 0.0 to 1.0 on all 4 channels bonded. Upstream looks ok. Prefer to be in the low to mid 40's. Mine is around 43.5 dBmV and can go to 42.0 at times with a 1.5 dBmV variance.

maybe, but with around half a billion unerrored codewords per channel and only around 600 uncorrecables each, I'm not exceptionally worried. That's a fairly good "batting ave."

10 is still within spec.

I had a modem work for years at -18 - -19dBmV..dont know how but it did.
