Anyone hook up a TP-Link W8960N Ver.3 with Verizon DSL ?

Well I'm trying. I'm not good at all with networking. I had an Actiontec GT704-WG
and still do. It works ok, but I thought I'd update the modem router since
this Actiontec is pretty old. Not having any luck with the TP. The ADSL light
will blink for just a second and no more. The internet light blinks for a second
then it stops. I pinged the system using CMD and got 4 good pings back,
but can't hook up to the internet.

Any help or clues would sure be appreciated. I know I'm using one of the slowest
DSL's they are. Something like .5 to 1mbsp, but Verizon wants me to go with
some weird freedom package to upgrade and FIOS is out.

Anyway thanks for looking and I hope some help. I CAN get on 192.168.1.1
for the TP but don't know what to cogfigure.

the TP-LINK forums that more than just I have problems with the ADSL light
on this unit. I have enough probs, don't need more.

In any event, thanks for lookin'

In cases like this, it's generally a good idea to double check the mode the modem is set to. Some modems have the option to force certain ADSL modes, such as G.DMT or ADSL2 modes. It could be possible if the modem is using Auto Negotiate that this is throwing it off.
