I finally got a chance to watch the premiere episode and have the second episode recorded from Starz-HD on my media server.
It's not bad.
Its entertaining and adult enough to not seem condescending.
The character of Da Vinci seems almost completely made up though. There isn't a lot known about his private life so I get that they took creative license. This aspect of the show smells like bull $#!t though,....
I also didn't much care for the British accents. Such things seemed fine in other productions like HBO's "Rome" which was equally out of place but somehow worked. With Da Vinci's Demons it just somehow seems wrong,...
It's no replacement for Spartacus though,....not by a longshot,.... |
