Re: Typical Customer Data Usage

I have U-Verse and when i login to check my usage- it tells me its unlimited even though the TOS at signup says 250gigs. I can provide a screen shot if needed.

Netflix allows 7mbit per stream if they have a local content box with the ISP. I can see kids on on TV and parents on the other.

So... ummm... I'm guessing nobody wants to be in my neighborhood?

Also, a majority of the upload is cloud backup to Crashplan Pro. Download is mostly usenet.

Do you have Crashplan backing up your entire disk or something?

Actually... I've been EXTREMELY surprised as well... the only alternative here is 1.5mbit adsl as well, so I'd be quite unhappy if they did decide to discontinue my service.

For me, no DSL, FIOS, and any fast affordable broadband services in my areas.

Let's hope TWC never enforces a cap!!

How will your usage change at say $1 a GB over 250 GB?

As long as TW offers highest tier "ultimate" package that has no caps (if there are caps) then thats what I will pay for. If they decide to cap at low 250 for all packages then I will switch to verizon fios which is now about to be fully available as they been running new infastructure here after hurricane sandy. simple. I am willing to pay a lot for a fast package that has no caps but if they try to cap me then its cya. Oh and I hover about 300GB or 350GB and no I dont torret at all. I do stream some stuff, newsgroup stuff, stream on twitch tutorials, and also sync a lot of files as I work on some dlcs for small developer.(this syncing sometimes will eat up 5gb in a day)
