DownTheShore posted : I've got OOL and basic cable for my local channels, and I have a Roku box for everything else.

I can watch movies via my Amazon Prime subscription (or subscribe to Netflix if I want) on it, and I use the Playon Premium and Plex channels in addition to all the channels the Roku provides to watch almost anything I want. The caveat is that the majority of the channels are not live - with the exception of the international news channels, many of which are broadcast live in English - but it doesn't really matter because you just access the episodes you want to watch of most shows you want.
--
Patriotism is not waving a flag, it is living the ideals

I want to retire to the Isle of Sodor and ride the trains.

OdinFaktor posted : Cut TV and phone here. Kept OOL broadband only (netflix, amazon, etc.).
radioguinea posted : quick question to anyone that has OOL only (no tv/phone). I'm thinking of doing this when my promotion is up. Using just coax into your tv and using the tv digital tuner can you still see some of the basic channels (2,4,7,ect.) even if you dont subscribe to TV at all?
