I love the game they play...let's change or move things and let the users try to figure out on their own what we changed....like it would kill them if they included a note as to what's different They do. It's the first screen when accepting the update on either iOS itself or in iTunes. Also listed at the link posted earlier. Apple doesn't break down every single bug fix, because most people wouldn't understand or care about them. If you're really interested, you can start here: » developer.apple.com/library/ios/···%20Notes My beef goes back to when they changed the double click functionality and as well as the lock screen button on the iPad without clear (for the average user) notification. IMHO, 90% of the 60 million iPhone users aren't going to do web research on updates. There's no reason why they can't have a splash screen that describes important changes on first boot after an update (with a few options "never show me, ignore, show me later, etc.").
Most users don't care about the majority of the fixes, but there are some items that should be communicated in a way that the majority will see it...(again...IMHO) |

The splash screen you speak of is exactly what I said. Before you accept the update, the official change list is displayed either on the device when doing OTA updates or as an iTunes pop-up when doing a restore.
I don't remember all the way back to 4.2/4.3 when the behavior you mention was changed to know if it was included in the notes, but it seems like they included more or less everything important for the 5.x and so far for the 6.x releases.

Never really noticed any decrease in battery performance from 6.0.1 to 6.0.2. I've been demolishing my battery with LTE data and some voice calls since updating. I was at 49% and now I'm at 38%. Doesn't feel like anything changed.

Today's update was the first time I noticed the gears spinning as well. iPad 3 updated without any problems (Safari feels faster) and the phone is still updating. |

Yep, thanks. Updated and it's great using the BT keyboard with it. Only problem I have is the KB drops the connection to the mini it's usually used with when I take it in the other room (which is a good thing) but it's stays paired with the ATV when I return to my office where the mini is, lol. So I have to 'forget' device on the ATV or risk controlling the ATV when I don't intend to which is a slight pain. The Remote app works great for the ATV but the BT keyboard support is a nice addition. For example, when you have a long media list to scroll through, hitting a letter key on the keyboard jumps through the list. I don't know of a way to do that with the Remote app. --
