| I can forgive them for that (even though i own ipad1) since it was the first of it's kind and they needed to keep cost low.
But ipad mini only has 512MB. Now that's pathetic for 2013. Google has 2GB on it's nexus tablet.
It'll be the same excuse when ipad mini doesn't get ios8.

Well, it's a general rule of thumb with Apple products... 1st gen of anything gets the shaft in terms of support down the line...

Uh...this is a $500 product that could have easily been sold for $300 when the next iteration came out (so, a net cost of $200 for a little over a year of ownership).
This isn't a $75,000 car we're talking about. How many people spend have spent $200 ...over the course of a year...on beer, concert tickets, cigarettes, Starbucks Lattes or just unlimited text messaging?
I don't want to sound like an elitist, but is there really anyone out there who thinks $200 over the course of a year is getting shafted? Really?

Re: IOS 6.1 just went live Jumped from 5.1.1 straight to 6.1 on my Ipod Touch 4th gen. Works like a charm, seems quite a bit smoother to me. |

Still App Store Snafu So on my 3rd gen iPad, in the App Store there is no way to read/write reviews from Purchased. The only way I can rate or review an App is to bring it up from a search. And Updates just shows average rating, no info or reviews, period. Huh?!!! |

From what I can tell, there is still no way to rate, review, or see others' feedback of the latest version of an app from the iPad after you have installed it and tested it out, Purchased does not allow you to do that, D'oh! There is no sense in being able to rate or review an app from Updates because obviously you haven't tested out that version yet. |

3rd generation Apple TV Issues My 3rd generation Apple TV will not take the update. It stalls after the DL on Step 1 of 2.
So, I just pulled the plug and it rebooted and started where it left off. It looked like it everything was OK, but I checked the SW version and it was still 5.1.1.
Tried it two more times with the same results. I did this on the wireless connection. It functions fine without any issues with 5.1.1.
It looks like the 5.1.1 had the same issue, but that update worked just dandy for me.
Anyone else have the same issue or a suggestion?
EDIT: Just saw the thread below on this.
EDIT 2: I feel like a real idiot. I just turned on the Apple TV to try the flash again, and it is updated! I don't have the foggiest what happened.
