Digital Photo Editing Workflow

This article summarizes the most important steps to incorporate into your digital photo editing workflow (aka "post-processing workflow"). It isn't necessarily a procedure that you'll want to implement with all of your photos, but whenever you want to get that "keeper" looking just right, these steps can make all the difference.

This is worth a look for folks like me who are beginning to wish we had a system...

Great link. I sent it on to someone asking my advice as to how to edit and what steps to take when doing so and why. I also printed it for myself. While I do many of the things suggested, I might also try some that I don't when appropriate.

This is pretty much my work flow, except the first thing I do is straighten and crop. I figure why work on the part I am throwing away.

Before anything make two backups of everything. On different drives or media.

Then make a third backup for working on and only work on that copy. Make a new name for those. Even just a b suffix like ...b.jpg
