Re: Time for a stop sell on McNicoll POI?

Well, my friends who live in my neighborhood who I've recommended Teksavvy too, seems to report slow services as well.

I hear ya. I'm trying to nail down a timeline but 1-3 weeks is my best guess right now. We have physical assignments for the new 10 gig link. So it's close.

Sticking around with Teksavvy right now is a pretty painful decision on the McNicoll POI at the moment.

I'm not sure how much more of this I can take during prime time.

Expecting an upgrade tomorrow morning. Lets see if that solves it.

Just in case things should go wrong and things don't go as planned, I've found a nifty little guide to help people through the troubles of no internet. This should get you started.

Oddly, I tested around 8 p.m. EST today, and my speed tests were pretty good (24-26 Mb/s). But it's pretty bad starting around 9:15 p.m. (maybe earlier) to 9:30 p.m. onwards.

Out of curiosity is there any reason to believe this situation will improve for me after the switch to aggregated?

FYI.. McNicoll POI has five gig links with only 3.3 gig at peak going through it. There's a ton of extra capacity on it.

Sorry to hear about this. Please feel free to message us in the direct forum »TekSavvy Direct to troubleshoot this as there could be an underlying issue.

Thanks!

Well, then there's a congestion issue on my node starting around 9:15 p.m. EST. Is there any way to get Rogers to look into it?

The other question I have is if there's a congestion issue on the node the switch to aggregated won't improve that situation, right?

It probably won't. But let's try to make sure that that's what it actually is...

Do you have a D3 modem?

A bit upthread he posted 4X4 bonded signal stats so I think he must have one. This is a weird one...at 4AM there shouldn't be any node congestion either.

Honestly it looks like your speed profile is set wrong. At 4AM, there's no way there is congestion anywhere.

By the way, raphaeld is likely on a different node than I am. Past midnight, I'm not seeing issues. I'm only seeing problems around 9 p.m. (possibly at 8:30 onwards . . . but I typically test a bit after 9 p.m. EST) until a few hours later (after midnight, it's pretty sweet on weekdays).

And it's fine at 12:13 p.m. EST on a weekday (but it's not fine around 9:30 p.m. EST--and probably not fine around 9 p.m. EST either)
